Atlanta, GA (March 12, 2007) – MDdatacor, inc., a leading healthcare information technology company today announced that it has enhanced its Care Center, a web-based physician portal, by combining claims and pharmacy data with its existing database of patient medical records.
“According to the New England Journal of Medicine, fewer than 55 percent of Americans receive the recommended care,” said Co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer, Timothy Roche. “When physicians are provided actionable clinical reports identifying patient care opportunities, derived from their own patient records, physicians take action and patient outcomes improve.”
MDdatacor’s proprietary technology combines patient medical records from disparate data sources such as electronic medical records, transcribed office notes and lab results received directly from the treating physicians with the claims and pharmacy data received from the health insurers into a searchable database. MDdatacor searches the clinical information to provide the treating physicians with reports that identify the physician’s patients whose current treatment does not achieve published clinical guidelines.
MDdatacor is currently supporting quality programs, such as pay-for-performance, for health plans across the United States to assist physicians and nurses better manage patients and document improved outcomes.
