Metropolitan Health Networks Selects MDdatacor for Electronic Health Information Program

- "Quality of Care" Initiative to Include Electronic Health Record Summaries -

Atlanta, GA (January 6, 2006) - MDdatacor, inc. has been selected by Metropolitan Health Networks to collect and structure its members' health data into a searchable, remote repository of electronic health data, the company announced today. Metropolitan Health Networks is a health care services provider to Medicare Advantage recipients in Central and South Florida.

"We are excited that Metropolitan Health Networks selected MDdatacor to help improve service and health care delivery for its 28,000+ members," said Timothy Roche, chief financial officer and executive vice president of MDdatacor. "With our MDdatacare Center, Metropolitan will be able to search data from medical records and other sources, view summary electronic health records for its members, and serve its members more appropriately."

MDdatacor facilitates access to, consolidates, and manages individual patient data from multiple sources-such as physician medical records, prescriptions, and lab reports. The company maintains strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

"Metropolitan is pleased to add MDdatacor to our select group of business partners," said Debra A. Finnel, president and chief operating officer of Metropolitan Health Networks. "All of our networked physicians operate under the auspices of Metropolitan's 'Partners in Quality' program, which was designed to help us monitor and provide quality healthcare to our membership. We expect that the technology provided by MDdatacor will bring our program to an even higher level throughout our organization, which includes our newly launched AdvantageCare healthcare maintenance organization."

MDdatacor will use its proprietary technology to convert electronic archives of unstructured data into a searchable format accessible through its MDdatacare Center physician portal. Through the MDdatacare Center, Metropolitan Health Networks will have access to member health data from various sources which will be integrated with individual medical records from network providers. Metropolitan and its providers will be able to view complete member profiles, or summary electronic health records, delivered through the MDdatacare Center.

Said Finnel, "Measuring patient outcomes and engaging physicians with their medical records have proven to be winning propositions for all parties in the past - we anticipate that MDdatacor's technology will help Metropolitan continue to build on this trend."
