Atlanta (July 11, 2005). MDdatacor, inc., an Atlanta-based healthcare informatics company, announced to its physicians and members that its US database now contains de-identified medical records on more than six million chronically ill patients making MDdatacor the largest database repository for the chronically ill in the United Sates. Contributors to the database, consisting to date of 145 group practices and representing nearly 3,000 cardiologists, transfer patient files via secure internet protocol to the company's data center on a monthly basis.
Utilizing patient level reporting from the database, MDdatacor currently enables network physicians to measure their quality of care delivered to patients in comparison to published standards of care. "Today, MDdatacor is working within the healthcare community to measure and manage chronic and costly diseases through the use of our proprietary population health profiling and data analytics", said Blake Whitney, MDdatacor Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. "We are continuing to raise the bar as we expand and improve our services for the benefit of all the healthcare stakeholders."
